Saturday Night, Dec. 31, 2011 will be held dear in the memories of 13 people who had the honor of gracing the stage at Pershing Center in Lincoln NE.

For the past few month the Wheezetones and Soul Dawg have been planning a  joint New Years Eve gig – and it lived up to all of our expectations.  Over 1,000 of you gathered together for dancing and merry-making to toast in the new year.  Soul Dawg opened the show with at set starting at 8 PM.  The Wheezetones took the next set from 9-10 – and we traded back and forth until we hit the midnight hour.

The highlight of the evening was when the 13 members from both bands took the stage together at midnight to play a 45-minute set of music to end the night.

Many thanks go out to the management and staff at Pershing Center, the folks at Broadcast House – especially WOW-FM 105.3. and everyone else that was involved in making this a big success.
